This is Boyd's ~ JACQUES GRENOUILLE ... THE WINE TESTER which is Item #36702. ~ This piece was introduced in 1998 and retired that same year. ~ He is 3" high and 4" across the base. ~ In the background on the side is a container of Old Toad Brand French Cognac with a loaf of French Bread on the top. ~ In the front of that is a bottle of Old Toad and Jacques has an old stogey hanging from his mouth! ~ The verse on the bottom reads "I NOTE THE DEROGATORY RUMORS CONCERNING THE USE OF ALCOHOLIC STIMULANTS AND LAVISH LIVING. IT IS THE PENALTY OF GREATNESS" by W.C. Field. ~~~~~
